Virgina Bauer | Advisory Board
Virgina Bauer is CEO of GTBM. She served from 2005-2008 as Vice Chairperson of the Fort Monmouth Economic Redevelopment Authority. She was the state’s lead representative in the development of a specific plan to achieve revitalization of this 1,600-acre military facility.
Bauer served as Commerce Secretary for the State of New Jersey. She was appointed in July 2004 and served to July 2007.
In August 2003, Bauer was appointed by former Governor McGreevey as Director of the New Jersey Lottery.
Bauer, a widow of a New Jersey victim of the September 11, 2001, attack on the World Trade Center, is a mother of three from Red Bank. She became a key activist on behalf of the families of the 9/11 victims, working closely with Congressional leaders and the White House toward the successful enactment of 9/11 victim legislation in 2002.
Bauer is a former financial planning and account management executive with Merrill Lynch. She is a Director on the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum Board.
She is a member of the Economic Club of New York. She is a trustee of Monmouth University and also serves on the boards of Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch and the Business School of Rutgers University.
